ICONMA@ Cruise: Associate Electric Vehicle Technician

About the Role:
Client is actively seeking an Associate EV Technician for our Service Operations team.
We are a rapidly growing team supporting the validation and improvement of our customer facing fleet.
Doing:
Complete sophisticated electro-mechanical functions and activities: component and system removal/installation/assembly, fleet retrofits, updates and modification
Perform EV platform repair and basic diagnostics, assist in root cause analysis by gathering data for partner teams, and repairs
Produce and maintain detailed documentation for all maintenance and test procedures.
Execute tasks against a plan of record and meticulously document and proactively share aberrations to that plan.
Observe all safety standards. Maintain a secure, safe, clean and healthy work environment.
Follow operating instructions, use protective equipment when required, and use equipment and materials accurately.
Actively strive to prevent accidents and injuries.
Performing general automotive repairs including component replacement using basic hand tools (eg. screwdrivers, ratchets, electric impact tools to remove fasteners)
Components could weigh up to 50 pounds.
May occasionally drive Client AVs manually on public or Client private property
Perform other ad hoc, job-related duties, as assigned
Must Have :
2+ years technical experience in electro-mechanical, automotive, marine, robotics, or aerospace industries.
Working technical knowledge of some or all of the following systems: 12V / CAN / LIN architecture; high voltage battery and ancillary systems
Basic understanding of terminal based computer commands.
Proven ability to use general shop, automotive, and diagnostic tools.
Understanding of Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems.
Ability to work in a collaborative team setting with ambitious goals and timelines.
Time management and cooperative development skills. Focus, attention to detail, and require minimal mentorship to complete tasks.
Prioritize safety and maintain a safety-first mindset, while following all safe work practices and policies
Strong work ethic, quality workmanship, and team oriented
Currently holding an active, valid regular driver's license from state where based
Accurately type and read on a laptop in a moving vehicle
Ability to give and receive clear, prompt, understandable verbal and written communication
Safely operate the AV in accordance with Client safety protocols and applicable law.
This includes, but is not limited to, having a sufficient range of motion to frequently turn a steering wheel, operate the accelerator and brake, check blind spots and evaluate the environment, and maintaining appropriate air bag clearance.
Regularly perform physical work including, but not limited to, stooping, lifting, and moving up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, including interacting with the public

ASE Certifications or similar vehicle manufacturer certifications
GM dealership training especially EV repair experience
Knowledge and understanding of ADAS or other autonomous sensor suite components
Basic understanding of computer programming / scripting languages
