MUST:
6 years of medical office experience
3+years of recent experience working in Women's Health or the Obgyn field
Strong knowledge of OBGYN procedures
Experience on boarding new patients
Providing patient education
Comfortable working with providers
Ability to review paperwork with patients
Processing claims
Knowledge of codes
Verifying insurance
Experience checking patients in and out and collecting insurance information
Strong EMR Athena
Strong customer service experience
DUTIES:
Greet patients
Onboard new patients
Provide patient education
Work directly with providers
Schedule OBGYN/ and women's health procedures
Obtain Pre-authorizations and process referrals
Review pre-op paperwork with patients
Provide personal attention and support
Obtain insurance information
Verify insurance
Check patients in and out
Collect co-pays
Have patients fill out forms
Verify insurance
Enter and update patient information into EMR (Athena)
