System Security Administrator/Engineer
Sterling, VA

MUST:
Experienced System Security Administrator/Engineer
7+ years of technical experience troubleshooting complex network, system, and end user support issues
Strong application management and support experience for applications such as ZScaler and ESXi
Understanding and hands on experience creating and managing GPOs
Strong experience with firewalls both hands on and monitoring
Experience providing system and network security and hardening measures
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Strong documentation skills
Ability to work well on a team and independently
Current certification in the following : Network+ce, A+ce, or Security+ce or CCNA
Additional certifications are a plus : VMWare, MCSE, CEH, FortiNet NSE 4, or Azure

DUTIES:
Will help proactively monitor and report on overall system service performance and take action to correct deficiencies in monitoring and controlling the quality of individual network services
Develop, execute and track the performance of security measures to protect information and network infrastructure and computer systems
Plan, develop, implement and update companies information security strategy
Educate and train staff on information system security best practices
Design computer security strategy and engineer comprehensive cybersecurity architecture in a lab environment
Install software that monitors systems and networks for security breaches and intrusions
Monitor systems for irregular behavior and set up preventive measures
Identifying, analyzing, and remediate infrastructure, application, and OS level vulnerabilities and compliance issues
Build and maintenance lab environment which consists of VMware vCenter and ESXi
Test and implement security OS hardening utilizing GPOs and scripting
Manage MFA platform including administrators, users and application protection
Manage Zscaler tenant to adhere to defined company policies
Responsible for auditing security implementations through monitoring firewalls
Perform on-call operational duties on rotational basis
