Seeking Senior Blanket Design Engineers to join our program in San Antonio, you will be part of an outstanding team of technical designers & engineers making history as we shape this one of a kind next generation Aircraft.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work with the design team to support Blanket Design and Modification on VC-25B.
Determines requirements and integrates the development of blankets design and modification.
Identifies methods of compliance to satisfy program requirements.
Integrate with suppliers, customers and engineering teams to meet the statement of work, including schedules and budget.
Supports the development and improvement of engineering tools and process to support cost saving initiative.
Provides engineering solutions for Modification related Customer Support payloads Service Requests.
Presents engineering technical information, modification engineering, and project status to leadership and customers.
Develops validation, test plans, certification plans, and performs design verification by supporting testing and analysis to ensure compliance with all applicable requirements.
Manages supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier.
Deploys engineering principles to research technical deviations, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer and designs interim and final engineering solutions.
This position is 100% on site
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering
Experience with CATIA V5 or other computer aided design software
3 years of experience designing structural or interior payload systems
5 years experience with blankets design and modification
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Airplane program experience through certification
Experience in Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
