Jr. Software Developer (Aiken, SC)

• Seeking a results-oriented, analytical software developer who has demonstrated the intellectual horsepower, energy and wherewithal to transform a growing, dynamic business.
• The MES Software Developer will build relationships and interface with customers to determine needs and troubleshoot issues the customer may experience.
• This role must be assertive and agile in project execution to accomplish business operating objectives.
• The MES Software Developer will provide integration, data collection and reporting from all the machines used in the wheel and tire manufacturing plants.
• This role will assist with inventory control processes. Software setup and configuration using IGear and other applications will be primary focus to sustain manufacturing operation efficiencies.
• The MES Software Developer will report to the MES Manufacturing Manager and primarily support MES implementations at all manufacturing sites.

• Responsible for setup, programming, testing, and implementation of computer control systems
• Implement programs on web servers and Android mobile devices.
• Setup, configure, and update IGear systems.
• Develops new and modifies existing Visual Studio and Android applications.
• Participates in set-up and commissioning of new facilities or upgrading of existing facilities.
• Documents specifications and operating procedures.
• Develop detailed software design specifications for assigned projects.
• Suggests new and innovative approaches to solving problems.
• Meets project deadlines.
• Work with a cross functional team which consists of PLC Controls engineers, Maintenance Supervisors, others in the IT Operations and Plant Management.
• Work requires ability to travel up to 25% to production facilities for either support or project implementation.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required
• 1+ year of experience in Web development with emphasis on UI and reporting (academic or professional experience)
• Some experience with Android or Java application development as well as Visual Studio development preferred
• Some SQL query experience preferred.
• Ability to perform work under minimal supervision
