Job Description &Responsibilities :
- The Corporate Global Supplier Quality department is a diverse organization of engineers whose primary mission is to provide the quality and technology required to support global businesses.
- The Corporate Supplier Quality Engineer will support s upplier selection, development, approval and management as the key focus areas of responsibility.
- This position will participate with cross-functional team in identifying and qualifying new sources of supply for Raw Material and Purchased Finished Goods.
- Support the application of Supplier Information Software.
- Lead supplier improvement efforts (Supplier Development + Supplier Corrective Actions).
- The position will report to management on supplier performance, development activities, improvement initiatives, and trends.
- Additionally, the SQE will develop relationships with suppliers and customers working closely with them at their plant locations to drive customer satisfaction.
- Assist in all facets of supplier management activities.
Skills & Qualifications :
Seeking a results-oriented, analytical thinker with experience as a multi-disciplinary collaborative solution seeker. This individual will have demonstrated consistency and reliability in managing multiple projects and responsibilities that support the Suppliers quality assurance requirements. The Corporate SQE is able to produce data analytics reporting on supplier performance, trends, and quality engineering initiatives to ensure strong supplier partnerships and continual business growth.
- In-depth experience in advanced quality planning including PPAP execution
- Able to train/coach/guide suppliers through advanced quality planning elements as well as various elements of PPAP
- Experience in defining PPAP requirements and follow up evaluation and approval of PPAPs
- Problem solving expertise focusing on preventive approach. Able to provide coaching in various problem solving tools such as 8D, 5-why, Kepner Trego, etc.
- Familiar with ISO9001:2015, Six Sigma, Lean, and measurement equipment including CMM, Faro Arm, or similar
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering or related field
- 3 years' experience in quality assurance
- Rubber industry and Metal industry experience, preferred
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% including internationally if required.
