Location: Harrisburg, PA
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 + Benefits

Payroll Specialist Description

Our client is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their team onsite in Harrisburg, PA. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that every paycheck is processed accurately and on time. In this exciting position, you will engage in year-end activities, collaborate on audits, and become the go-to expert for payroll inquiries—all while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality. Additionally, you should be knowledgeable of payroll tax at the federal, state, and local levels. Working closely with a dynamic Payroll Manager and various internal teams, you will be at the heart of payroll operations, contributing to a seamless and efficient process that supports the entire organization. Payroll Specialist Responsibilities

•    Generate payroll reports and provide data to the Accounting team
•    Support audit requests with payroll-related information
•    Manage payroll issues, including tax overpayments and errors
•    Ensure accurate calculation of payroll tax liabilities and resolve inquiries
•    Back up the Payroll Manager for RSU, stock transactions, and tax liabilities
•    Handle payroll overpayments and returned checks
•    Prepare periodic payroll reports for management
•    Perform balancing for regular and off-cycle payrolls
•    Review audit reports for accuracy pre- and post-payroll processing
•    Update PTO accruals for employees returning from leave
•    Coordinate garnishment documentation and reconciliation with UKG Pro
•    Approve payroll workflows in the HRIS system

Payroll Specialist Qualifications

•    3+ years of Payroll processing experience required
•    Familiarity with payroll tax at the federal, state, and local levels required
•    Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
•    Proficiency with any payroll software experience required
