Job Role: Weight Management-Deputy Manager
Experience: 5 to 8 years
Qualification: B.E / B.Tech
Location: Chennai

Job Description:

Typical activities include:

Vehicle weight estimations in different phase of program.
Continues interaction with design teams for weight status monitoring and updates.
Provide timely weight summary and related observations at each quality gate to program team
Perform Part by part weight measurement and compare against design weights
Perform benchmark vehicle part by part weight management and support for data comparisons
Interaction with PRs application managers chief engineers site lead for discussion of results and possible requests of clarification

Typical activities in general DO NOT include:

Part number/ sub assembly number identification and BOM creation/correction etc.
Supplier weight data, even if the interaction with Design colleagues is likely to happen along with supplier.

Technical Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering
Strong proficiency in Office suites & SAP is added advantage (Google Slides, Google Sheet, Excel, Power Point etc).

Technical Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency & Hands on experience in vehicle weight management activities
Experience / competence in data analysis with excel, V look up etc.

Soft skills:

Ability to create concise and detailed technical reports.
Good teamwork capability (communication and data sharing-review with peers)
Capability to connect autonomously with the rest of the design leads as needed
