With locations around the world, CGC and USG have the resources, plants, products and people to build walls, ceilings and careers.</em></p><p><strong>CGC Inc. is currently recruiting for a Mine Manager for our gypsum plant, based in Hagersville, Ontario.</strong></p><p>The <strong>Mine Manager</strong>position is a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their technical and leadership experience for the building materials market. This is an underground mining operation.</p><p>Reporting to the Plant Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for safety, quality and efficiencies for the Mine department. The position has three General Foremen and two Project Engineers as direct reports. Overall, the Mine Manager has 98 employees in the two departments.</p><p><strong>Position Description:</strong></p><p>Safety is the first priority in everything we do. The Mine Manager has a major role in the safety culture of the mine and investigates ways to continue to make the mine a safer environment for everyone to work. </p><p>CGC products are produced at the highest quality standards and the Mine Manager works with the leadership team to ensure quality is maintained and works with our customers in the field. Developing strong relationships with internal departments including production, distribution, customer service, safety and human resources is also critical for success in this role. </p><p>The Mine Manager manages the process of gypsum rock from the Mine through crushing and stockpiling for use in the Mill and Board Departments.
