All internal applicants will be contacted.</p><p></p><p>Reporting to the Quarry Foreman, the Quarry Maintenance Supervisor is a supervisory position whose primary responsibility is to create a safe and effective maintenance team and ensure all equipment is well maintained through support, enforcement and implementation of all rules or procedures.</p><p></p><p>This position offers a competitive compensation package, comprehensive benefits package, and the potential for a quarterly bonus. We thank all applicants for their interest in this position but only those being considered for an interview will be contacted.</p><p></p><p>Basic Accountabilities:</p><p>· Enforce plant safety rules and policies.</p><p>· Supervise and direct activities of the hourly maintenance crew.</p><p>· Assist in developing a Maintenance Operator Rate Program including:</p><p>o Training check sheets, essential physical requirements (EPR), visual work instructions.</p><p>· Work with Production to schedule and execute daily work order schedules.</p><p>· Ability to ensure the safe operation of mobile and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.</p><p>· Ability to locate sources of problems by troubleshooting; listening for problems; using measuring and testing instruments, as well as providing cost effective recommendations of repairs and/or replacements.</p><p>· Fully support the EAM program to maintain equipment. Maintain an adequate supply of parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.</p><p>· Supervise contractors and ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective work.</p><p>· Ability to provide technical support for equipment selection and replacement.</p><p>· Strong organizational and time management skills.</p><p>· Able to communicate to all levels of the organization.</p><p>· Capable of delivering training one-on-one and in group settings.</p><p>· General computer skills and knowledge.</p><p>Required Qualifications:</p><p>· Must meet essential physical requirements related to:</p><p>o Regularly sitting, talking, listening, standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms.</p><p>o Occasionally climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.</p><p>· Predictable attendance.</p><p>o Report to job site ready to begin work at the designated start time.</p><p>· Ability to perform all essential and support functions of the job.</p><p>· Ability to maintain a high-level of housekeeping in all areas of the job.</p><p>· Wear and use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).</p><p>o Hard hat, steel toe shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, etc.</p><p>Key Qualifications</p><p>· Demonstrates strong knowledge of USG Safety and the Mine Safety & Health Administration and the regulations pursuant to the State of Iowa.</p><p>· General Mechanical/Technical understanding, including working on heavy diesel equipment.</p><p><br></p><ul></ul><p>Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.<br></p><p>USG employees enjoy a number of benefit options for themselves and their families.
