<p><strong>Job Title:</strong> Maintenance Mechanic</p><p><strong>Hourly Rate of Pay: </strong>$24.19</p><p>Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.</p><p><strong>Additional Information:</strong></p><ul><li>Pay range reflects a progressive pay system determined by demonstrating specific skills and abilities.</li><li>This is a Monday through Friday day shift position. The schedule will initially be 7:30 am – 3:30 pm or similar, subject to change, with occasional mandatory overtime including weekends.</li></ul><p><strong>Role & Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Compliance with all safety and housekeeping rules.</li><li>Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities necessary to keep industrial equipment operating efficiently. Tasks may include but are not limited to motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulic systems, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, engineering specifications; and troubleshooting malfunctions. </li><li>Become familiar with plant work order system.</li><li>Proficiency in using hand and power tools, cranes/hoist, rigging equipment, welders, fall restraint, etc. </li><li>Work as part of a team, communicating and cooperating to achieve the required results.</li><li>Expected to take an active role in all plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives as required by supervision. </li><li>Adaptable to scheduling requirements including shiftwork, assignment of overtime, working weekends, etc. where applicable.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications & Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to perform assigned repair and servicing tasks.</li><li>Willingness to work the assigned schedule. </li><li>Consistently demonstrate an understanding of all plant & departmental safety rules, standards, and programs. </li><li>Meet the essential physical requirements of the position. Negotiate steps and ladders.</li><li>Maintain regular and predictable attendance.</li><li>Have ability to understand verbal and written instructions from plant supervision and efficiently and effectively perform assigned tasks. </li><li>Responsible for maintaining a set of personal tools as specified in the operator rate program.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>USG employees enjoy a number of benefit options for themselves and their families.
