Senior Business/System Analyst

DSA is seeking a highly qualified Senior Business/System Analyst to join our team in Annapolis, MD.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technical discipline (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, Business Information Technology, etc.)
• Expert understanding of the BIDS software platform (BIDS Studio and BIDS Server)
• Proficient in C#, .Net, SQL or JavaScript
• Expert knowledge of SSAS, SSIS, SSMS, and SSRS
• 8+ years working on IT projects
• 5+ years working on Budgeting Solutions
• 5+ years working with federal/state/local government as client
• Familiar with standard coding practices
• Proficient in MS Word 2013, MS Excel 2013, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook
• Proficient in MS Visio

Desired Qualifications

• Expert understanding of software development life cycle
• Expert understanding of the Agile software development methodology
• Expert understanding of requirement gathering from customers and clients
• Expert understanding of decomposing requirements to design statements
• Expert understanding of creating a requirements traceability matrix (RTM)
• Expert understanding of Designing and developing Design documentation and other technical documentation as project deliverables
• Ability to review client documentation and derive high level requirements
• Familiar with standard coding practices
• Self-motivated individual with a passion for learning new technologies and the ability to multi-task.
• An individual that is not afraid to ask questions and can take ownership of assigned tasks.
• Works well in team environment and with others
• Ability to learn and be taught on the job.

Key Responsibilities

• Will work with the Project Management Office of the customer to ensure requirements are well documented and understood by the Vendor implementation team.
• Will be responsible for capturing the Technical and Functional Design Specifications
