What we are looking for

Working closely with the US Director of Finance and the wider finance team you will:

  • Accounts Receivable:
    • Prepare and send invoices and monthly statements to clients, coordinating with TMP client team members.
    • Monitor aging reports and alert applicable peers to delinquencies.
    • As necessary, assist with collection calls in a professional manner while maintaining positive customer relations.
    • Deposit and record incoming payments, and reconcile against accounts receivable.

  • Accounts Payable:
      • Full cycle processing of business accounts payable from receipt of invoice to payment via check/ACH.
      • Post invoices received supplier payments, and allocation of supplier payments in a timely and accurate manner.
      • Ensure supplier statements are regularly received, and reconciled and supplier issues and discrepancies are tracked, monitored, and resolved promptly.
      • Identify potential risks within the accounts payable function and develop and implement mitigation strategies. Proactively address issues relating to fraud, compliance, and other risks to safeguard the business.

    • Other:
      • Generate regular reports on accounts payable and receivable metrics. Provide insightful analysis to support decision-making and identify trends or areas for improvement.
      • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the accounts payable function.
      • Work with the US Director of Finance to review, improve, and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
      • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal operations teams for timely communication and issue resolution.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
      • Collaborate with audit teams to support audit activities and implement corrective actions as needed.
      • Contribute to financial reporting activities within the wide finance function as required.
      • Other ad hoc activities may be required.

Requirements

What you will need:

    • Minimum 2 years of AR and AP experience.
    • Some understanding of processing and compliance requirements and tax regulations.
    • Ability to adapt to change and drive process improvement initiatives.
    • High attention to detail.
    • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel and Word.
    • Sage 50 / Intacct experience preferred.
