Seeking ABA, Education and Speech/Language Students and Providers

Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: M-F 8 am-4 pm or 9 am-5 pm

Requirements of the job:
· SLP:
o Must have a minimum of 1 full year of experience with children with autism.
o Must be ASHA Certified Education requirements: Must have degree and/or license in the State of NY or seeking certification & license
· Sped Teacher:
o Must have Special Education Teaching certificate in the State of NY or seeking certification & license
o Can be master’s level or transitional B certificate.
· ABA Therapists and BCBAs:
o Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or working towards a degree in related field.
o RBT certification preferred, but not required. We provide RBT training for a certification!
o In current BCBA preparatory program accruing supervised fieldwork
Responsibilities of the job:
· SLP:
· Work with children on the autism spectrum ages 5-19 to do direct therapy and instruction in various settings throughout the day, target peer interactions, provide support for other adults (parents, staff in the school) and write periodic progress reports and updated treatment long term and short-term goals.
· Sped Teacher:
· Work with children on the autism spectrum ages 5-19 to do direct classroom educational and behavioral instruction in various settings throughout the day, target peer interactions, provide support for other adults (parents, staff in the school) and write periodic progress reports. Must have a minimum of 1 full year of experience with children with autism.
· ABA Therapist/Fieldwork Students:
· Implement 1:1 behavioral intervention programs to children with autism in their homes.
· Participate in a training program that provides instruction on ABA, discrete trial teaching techniques, management of maladaptive behaviors, child development and data collection techniques applicable to the client population.
· Receive supervision from a BCBA, for each client they work with.
· Observe and record child's behaviors through data input into an electronic device and log hours and data accurately.
· Communicate with supervisory staff
· Requirements of the job: Must have a minimum of 1 full year of ABA experience with children with autism
