Production Supervisor (3 PM-11:30 PM, Monday to Friday after training)
Responsibilities:
Training and Guidance: Assist in training new and existing Production Associates. Provide guidance on interpreting job tickets and associated instructions.
Performance Oversight: Review monthly performance goals with a team of up to 6 employees.
Strategic Collaboration: Engage in ongoing strategic planning and resource utilization to maximize productivity.
Workload Management: Assess workloads and efficiently delegate tasks based on staff and machinery availability.
Machine Optimization: Collaborate with Technicians to troubleshoot and improve machinery for sustained high output levels.
Operational Efficiency: Ensure daily SLAs are met, utilizing tools such as Open Cards and Open OnDemand.
Quality Control Leadership: Lead departmental initiatives for quality control procedures and guidelines.
Adaptation and Coordination: Lead the department in adapting to increased production volumes within tight timeframes, collaborating with Matching and Quality departments to ensure timely job completion.
Defective Material Identification: Encourage proactive identification of defective materials by the team.
Support and Verification: Support the Production Manager in job set-up, coordination, and clean-up. Verify outbound goods' quality to align with COS QC standards.
Technical Operations: Utilize proprietary COS software and tools for job check-ins and quality control.
Requirements:
Experience: 3-5 years in machine operation, preferably in a mail production setting. 1-3 years of leadership experience required.
Industry Knowledge: Proficient understanding of mailing/printing industry terminology.
Skills: Basic math and reading skills, proficiency in navigating web browsers and MS Office 2013 Applications (especially Excel).
Management Skills: Planning and people management skills are essential for the role.
