Your mission

As a F reelancer Product Manager, you'll advocate for small businesses, ensuring our products align with their requirements, equip them to handle their finances efficiently, safeguard them from potential financial challenges, and offer valuable insights to connect them with appropriate financial solutions, thereby fostering their growth. As the Product Manager, your role involves close collaboration with diverse teams such as developers, designers, data analysts, and business stakeholders, to deliver a seamless and user-centered solution.

Your role and contribution

User-Centered Product Development:
Your primary focus is on understanding the unique needs and desires of small business owners, leveraging this understanding to craft a product that seamlessly integrates into their daily business operations.

Hands-On Product Leadership:
You actively engage in product ownership, rolling up your sleeves to participate directly in execution and delivery. You collaborate closely with development teams, offering guidance and support while swiftly addressing any impediments to ensure timely feature releases.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
You foster strong teamwork and transparent communication among diverse teams, including developers, designers, data analysts, and business stakeholders. Your aim is to cultivate a cohesive and efficient working environment that consistently delivers high-quality features and improvements.

Achieving Product-Market Fit:
Your responsibility is to drive the attainment of product-market fit for the VR Smart Guide product by thoroughly analyzing the target market, understanding customer needs, and evaluating the competitive landscape.

Data-Driven Decision Making:
You develop and implement strategies to leverage accounting data, extracting actionable insights to facilitate the cross-selling and upselling of financial products to small businesses.

Comprehensive Product Strategy:
You are tasked with developing and executing a holistic product strategy for our desktop and mobile applications, ensuring alignment with the company's overarching goals and objectives.

Iterative and Continuous Improvement:
Promoting a culture of continual growth and learning, you actively seek customer feedback, conduct user testing, and iterate on the product based on insights. Your goal is to continuously enhance the user experience and deliver ever-increasing value to small businesses.

Your profile

• You have 5+ years of experience in Product Ownership within the fintech or financial services industry, with a track record of successfully launching desktop and mobile applications
• Your expertise is in financial services, banking, and/or brokerage platforms. You are familiar with the challenges faced by small businesses in these areas, as well as with the broader financial products landscape
• You are fluent (C2) in both German and English
• You have the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority and your working style fosters teamwork, motivates others, and aligns stakeholders around a shared product vision
• You feel strong empathy for small business owners and have a user-centric approach to product development
• You have a strong sense of ownership and accountability: You should take full ownership of the product, demonstrating a high level of responsibility and accountability for its success
• Your are willing to occasionally travel to Berlin and/or Eschborn (near Frankfurt), and partner locations
