As the super-platform for non-professional soccer in Europe, we bring pro-level experiences (news, data, gamification) to the mega-community of +190 million footballers and soccer fans.

We are a startup founded in 2021 in Cologne, Germany - our team consists of 30+ smart and "hungry" members working on Prematch in our offices in Cologne and Berlin (Marketing & Business Team) or remotely across Europe (Tech & Product Team).

We are supported by partners like Krombacher, Flaschenpost, Scalable Capital and DAZN, but there are still 1-2 bangers in the pipeline that you can be excited about! Furthermore, we are supported by successful investors like Ralf Reichert, the CEO of ESL or the entrepreneur Verena Pausder.

Main information

  • Remote & Office: Our new office in Cologne (or a small one in Berlin) is the place to be, but of course, you can also comfortably work from home on a regular basis.

For this we need you

  • Join Prematch at a growth inflection point in a role which is instrumental in setting the future business trajectory.
  • Become an integral member of Prematch's leadership team, collaborating closely with product management, design, and engineering to define the company's growth strategies and drive business expansion.
  • Collaborate in leading user acquisition campaigns, focusing on optimizing Activation and Retention metrics, guided by insights from our user acquisition channels.
  • Assume responsibility for overseeing and optimizing Prematch's owned communication channels, encompassing in-app messaging, email, and push notifications.
  • Influence the technical roadmap for Prematch's CRM systems, collaborating with engineering leads to identify the most suitable technologies to empower our communication efforts. …Still exciting? Continue here!

Your mission

  • Have a track record of managing messaging and working together with product teams to strike the balance between promotional messaging and native app experiences.
  • Manage the orchestration of our push notification and e-mail messaging through experiments and optimise the personalisation along the user lifecycle.
  • Effectively building and overseeing cross-functional teams with marketing, product, engineering, design and data science, you ensuring that team members from linked departments are aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • You have familiarity, and ideally direct experience, with subscription business models,bringing a shaping perspective to Prematch's CRM user segmentation and personalisation.
  • Demonstrate expertise in developing long-term marketing and CRM roadmaps, while also effectively collaborating with other departments.

What do you need

  • Possessing +5 years of extensive experience in the fields of Growth, CRM or entire lifecycle marketing, you have a proven track record of successfully leading both paid and organic campaigns, from acquisition through to activation and retention.
  • We leverage various tools, including mobile CRM platforms such as Braze, Iterable, or CleverTap, marketing measurement platforms like AppsFlyer or Adjust, product analytics tools like Mixpanel or Amplitude, and customer data platforms like Rudderstack or Segment. Experience with these tools would be highly beneficial!
  • It would be awesome if you're not just savvy with the startup scene but also have a good understanding of amateur football
  • It would be great if you are fluent in German and also get on very well in English

Advantage but not a must

  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS, JavaScript & SQL
