Motion Graphics Designer Internship

Tasks

Throughout this three-month unpaid internship the Motion Graphic Designer will assist in the development and creation of highly engaging animations for a diverse array of media, including smartphones, tablets and webpages.

The Motion Graphic Designer will be responsible to:

• Work with illustrators, designers and instructional designers to understand the project scope and objectives
• Rig characters for animation
• Assisting in the development of storyboards and illustration of design concepts for implementation
• Prepare conceptual layouts for the motion graphic project
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to share new design perspectives and ideas
• Assist in selecting appropriate audio, graphic and animation styles for the project
• Encoding, converting and editing videos and adding effects / elements to enhance motion graphics
• Occasionally undertake tasks outside the normal scope of your job or this job post

Requirements

Education:

• Possessing or pursuing a Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in a graphic design or motion graphics design related field.

Experience:

• Working experience in graphic design including video production design and animation

Bonus points

• Knowledge in Cinema 4D, Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Flash, and other video animation software
• Initial experience in start-ups or design agencies

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Solid working knowledge of Affinity Designer, Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, Sketch, InDesign, and other graphic design software
• Advanced knowledge in Cinema 4D, Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Flash, and other video animation software (preferred)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to comprehend and uphold brand style guidelines, producing work of a suitable style
• Ability to solve an array of challenges through visual design
• Ability to take initiative, and independently complete tasks and projects
• Constantly positive, professional attitude and the ability to offer and receive constructive feedback
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize goals and meet deadlines
• Detail-oriented individual who reviews his/her work carefully, quality control is key

Connectivity / Technology

Your internet connectivity is sufficiently maintained, allowing you to hold online meetings and accomplish tasks. Your devices (e.g. laptops and/or smartphones) are sufficiently maintained, allowing you to use these gadgets to accomplish tasks and to communicate with your team.
