Sugar Purification Process Specialist

to drive excellence in sugar purification through cutting-edge technology.

Your expertise will be pivotal in advancing our client's sugar purification processes, achieving operational excellence, and optimizing the entire purification process to enhance quality, reduce material usage, lower heat consumption, improve stability, and minimize manual labour.

Your Role:

• Assume responsibility for developing the sugar purification process, from raw juice to thin juice 3, aiming to achieve best-in-class technology.
• Collaborate closely with process owners for heat economy, extraction, and crystallization to align sugar purification enhancements with the broader production process.
• Embrace digitalization and explore new possibilities for process and technology improvements, including developing and enhancing our digital twin for the purification process, in collaboration with our data analysts, data scientists, and software engineers.
• Maintain continuous alignment with stakeholders, including plant managers, shift leaders, operators, the automation department, the maintenance department, and external integrators.
• Provide engineering guidance, insights, and knowledge sharing to advance the field of juice purification.
• Assist in internal staff's professional development and competence through training, on-site learning, project execution, mentoring, and leadership.

Requirements

Your Profile:

• Bachelor's Degree in Process Engineering, Food Engineering, or a related field, with practical work experience directly applicable to the role.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the sugar industry is preferred, but experience in sectors such as Food Processing, Chemical Processing, Process Control and Automation, Quality Assurance and Control, and Supply Chain Management will also be considered positively.
• Robust technical knowledge and sugar technology competencies encompass the entire process from beet to silo.
• High cultural awareness and sensitivity, with a solid ability to navigate and negotiate in a multicultural environment.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Your Personality:

• A team player, open-minded.
• Willing to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to influence and explain ideas to stakeholders at a European level.
• Good communication skills in English and either German or Polish.
