We are looking for a

Digital Transformation Specialist in Beet Handling

to drive excellence in sugar production through advanced beet handling.

Your expertise will be pivotal in advancing our client’s sugar production processes, achieving operational excellence, and optimising beet handling to maximise sugar quality.

Your Role:

• Take ownership of the development of our beet handling process from the beet yard to the beet bunker to achieve best-in-class technology.
• Collaborate closely with process owners for extraction and the beet logistics department to align beet handling improvements with the broader production process.
• Embrace digitalisation and explore new possibilities to provide continuous beet quality to slicers, including mixing beet qualities, beet washing, and foreign body separation.
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and software engineers to support the development of our digital twin for the entire sugar production process.
• Maintain consistent alignment with stakeholders, including plant managers, shift leaders, operators, the automation department, the maintenance department, and external integrators.
• Provide engineering guidance, insights, and knowledge sharing to advance the beet handling and preparation field.
• Assist in the professional development of internal staff through training, mentoring, and leadership.

Requirements

Your Background:

• A bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering, Digital Transformation, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the sugar industry is a plus or sectors such as Food Processing, Biotechnology, Agriculture and Agribusiness, Chemical Processing, Energy and Utilities, Environmental Sustainability, Process Control and Automation, Quality Assurance and Control, or Supply Chain Management.
• Strong technical knowledge and competencies in material handling and separation technology of heavy raw materials, with basic knowledge of sugar technology.
• High cultural awareness and sensitivity, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Willingness to travel within Europe.

Your Personality:

• A team player, open-minded.
• Willing to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to influence and explain ideas to stakeholders at a European level.
• Good communication skills in English and either German or Polish.
