Process SUPPORT ENGINEER General job description When we do technology transfers it is a key function that the production processes, tooling and material flow regarding the new products are as efficient as possible. It will be your responsibility to support world wide manufacturing sites technically during productions ramp ups. To do this you need to work closely with the Lean team and production management of the sites.
It is essential that you are always up to date on the needs according to the current setup and that you ensure that the factory meets the new requirements You should expect a minimum of 180 travel days/year as you will be working on different sites globally. Therefore, it is a requirement that can leave your home for extended periods. Tasks and responsibilities Technical support - Ensure correctness of BOM.
- Process validation during prototype.
- Technical support on tooling and production processes issues.
- Preparation & validation of tooling requirement per mould.
- Identify correctness & completeness of documents received from NPI team.
- Develop TWI for critical processes.
- Support receiving factory during the ramp up.
- Validation of nesting/cutting/stitching files.
- Prepare list of Non-BOM items required for production.
- Support PEX engineer to develop standard work/labour model.
- Layout validation with respect to process requirement and material flow.
Personality: You must possess great collaboration and intercultural skills as you will, at times, be working with many different nationalities. Further, we expect you have a great sense of self-management, show responsibility and have a problem-solving attitude, be willing to adapt and be outgoing. Last but not least you need to have coaching and excellent communication skills and be able to stay positive and flexible even when things run high. Qualifications: In order to be considered for this position, you must have an engineering background with 3-7 years' of relevant experience and practical experience with quality systems, preferably from a manufacturing industry. You must have strong English skills, both in speaking and writing. Preferably, you have experience with production proceses, using glass-fibre, Epoxy or similar composite materiels e.g. within the wind industry. It is an advantage if you have experience with European management style and culture, or at least have knowledge hereof. And you are an excellent Microsoft Office user and Autocad super user.
