Primary Function/Primary Goals/Objectives: |
The Production Technician is responsible for the operation of lab-scale equipment used to batch and process liquid samples used for exploratory and technical development purposes. Primary functions include, but not limited to: material handling, hand cleaning, clean-in-place (CIP), routine housekeeping, and operation of equipment used in manufacturing research product from start to finish: kettles, heat treatment processing systems, filling systems, etc. |

Education: |
High school diploma/GED required. Associate or Bachelor's degree in Technical field preferred. |
Background: |
Two years' experience in a plant production environment (preferably within drug, food, or beverage manufacturing). Knowledge of food processing techniques and documentation requirements. Ability to read and follow work order documents, troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, and operate energized equipment. Should possess good mechanical aptitude and solid problem-solving skills. Requires standing for long periods of time and ability to push mixing kettles and carts across long distances. Requires occasional lifting of 50lb bags. |

Accountable for the safety of self and other employees while operating equipment. This position is accountable for complying with applicable policies, procedures, or guidelines. |
