Our direct client is seeking a Lead Application Developer for an 8-month contract-to-hire opportunity with their Newark, NJ location.

Job Description

Asset Management & Financial Management (AMFM) group is a part of the Global Technology organization. We are seeking a skilled technical developer, with over 8+ years of experience with excellent skills in Analysis, Design, Development, Enhancement, Integrations, Support, and implementation to help advance our architectural strategies and innovation efforts. Well-organized, detail-oriented, with hands-on development experience professional who enjoys working in a team environment as well as independently.

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the continued build out and integration of our financials systems into a cloud and SaaS architecture.
  • Creation, implementation, integration, and maintenance of our financials systems into a cloud and SaaS architecture.
  • Strategic enhancements and refactoring of existing critical components to align with overall technology strategy.
  • Explore, evaluate and implement emerging technologies into our architecture where advantageous.
  • Perform hands-on analysis, design, coding, testing and production support to meet business and technical objectives.

Qualifications:
  • Any work experience with application development supporting Windows/Unix and Web-based applications.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies (GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins, JIRA, CI/CD)
  • Programming experience with any major language/platform, such as VB.NET, C#.NET, ASP/ASP.NET, JAVA, JSON, Web API, REST/SOAP Web Services.
  • General relational database experience and SQL programming knowledge (tables, queries, stored procedures, and functions), such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle.
  • Experience working on a major cloud provider platform such as AWS or Azure.
  • Basic understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in supporting multiple applications, ensuring cross application knowledge sharing in addition to project execution.
  • Highly accountable with strong analytical, critical thinking, and results-oriented skills.
  • Experienced in cross-team coordination and teamwork.
