About GreyNoise

GreyNoise is a mission driven security startup focused on helping organizations understand and mitigate risks from Internet scanning and exploitation. GreyNoise provides real-time intelligence on all actors scanning the Internet and how some of them are attempting to exploit vulnerabilities on assets connected to corporate networks. The intelligence is highly trusted because it’s generated from a global fleet of thousands of purpose built sensors observing the Internet. Organizations use GreyNoise intelligence to understand the background scanning noise on the Internet and reduce up to 40% of alerts in a SOC. Threat hunting, vulnerability prioritization, incident investigation, and emerging threat response are other popular use cases for GreyNoise. The user base includes more than 10,000 community users and with 100 plus paid customers.

 

All positions are fully remote within the US, with optional office attendance at our DC area headquarters, unless otherwise specified. Applicants must have US work authorization. 

 

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Content Marketing Manager to create, manage, and optimize our content program. The ideal candidate is a prolific writer, can develop a strong content strategy in partnership with our demand generation, product, and research and data science teams. They also deeply understand how to maximize SEO and web traffic acquisition with great content. They are responsible for developing high-quality content that resonates with security teams, helping to drive website traffic and engagement, and supporting our pipeline goals.

 

What You Will Do

  • Content Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with GreyNoise’s marketing goals and objectives.
  • Content Creation: Produce high-quality, engaging, and informative content including blog posts, e-books, white papers, research reports, case studies, webinars, social posts, narrated videos, and more.
  • SEO Optimization: Ensure all content is optimized for search engines to drive organic traffic and improve search rankings.
  • Editorial Calendar: Create and manage an editorial calendar to ensure a consistent flow of content.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, sales, product, and research teams to ensure content aligns with marketing campaigns, product launches, sales initiatives.
  • Thought Leadership: Position GreyNoise Intelligence as a thought leader in the cybersecurity space through insightful content.

 

What You Will Bring

  • Experience
    • 3-5 years of experience in content marketing or security journalism, cybersecurity experience is highly preferred.
    • Ability to create publication-ready content (skilled in visual design, podcast creation, video editing) also highly preferred.
  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Skills, competencies, and traits:
    • A prolific writer
    • High-initiative individual; ability to identify content needs, create a content strategy, and execute on it with little guidance
    • Highly creative and can think outside the box.
    • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Proficient in SEO best practices and tools such as Google Analytics and SEMrush
