Key Responsibilities
This role is for a technically savvy individual to be part of a dedicated team in Client Cards focused on managing the implementation and management of acquisitions and consumer statistical analytical modeling and segmentation projects in support of marketing campaigns. The candidate will have hands-on experience with SAS/SQL and Marketing Optimization tools, such as, MarketSwitch. Candidate must possess advance communication and presentation skills and will be required to collaborate with technical and non-technical, both internal and external, resources to support all aspects of modeling and segmentation.
The successful candidate will be able to:
• Drive project implementation processes from initial planning to production roll-out
• Knowledge and ability to manage complex business requirements; ability to translate requirements into specifications and validate against requirements
• Knowledge and familiarity with analytic modeling efforts within large financial organizations
• Make decisions that are both tactical and strategic in nature; provide solutions and innovation
• Utilize comprehensive automation tools for processing efficiencies and analyze anomalies for statistical significance
• Ensure records/information management objectives are met; identify and resolve discrepancies in data and metadata
• Subject Matter Expert and key point of contact on all questions/issues related to systems and policies within functional scope
• Develop, grow and manage strong, complex relationships with key program stakeholders
• Effectively communicate in, both written and oral forms, and be comfortable interfacing with internal and external business partners and senior level management
• Facilitate meetings and problem-solving sessions with internal and external teams to remove hurdles and drive organizational alignment around project scope and due dates
• Identify and drive cost reductions, service delivery improvements, and vendor process efficiencies
• Experience in working with geographically remote team members
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred
• 5-7 years' experience in statistics, data management and/or database marketing role, preferably in financial services
• 5-7 year's aptitude in displaying and communicating technical/analytical information to non-technical constituents
• 5+ years' experience in project/process management – PMP preferred
• 5+ years process audit experience
• Strong analytical mindset and hands-on data analytical experience
• Credit Bureau and industry information data knowledge is a plus
• Experience managing partner/vendor relations and performance; evaluating proposals, structure and negotiating agreements
• 3+ years direct SAS experience: Execution, Optimization and Validation
• Experience in automation and report creation
• Advanced computer competency in Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Visio, SAS, SQL, UNIX, Oracle, Campaign Management Tools and SharePoint
• Ability to multi-task, adapts to and manages changing priorities, as well as thrives in a dynamic and continually evolving environment
• A firm understanding of advanced direct marketing analytics and database architecture
• Expertise in project/process management techniques/delivery, process reengineering and technology implementation
• Comfortable in ambiguous situations, a self starter and self learner who can work independently, with strong follow-through
• Capability to identify fresh approaches to marketing processes and technology and shows a willingness to question traditional assumptions
• Able to rapidly assimilate and report on complex information
• Strong project management skills required to lead the development and implementation of new programs; proven ability to work cross-functionally within an organization
• Highly organized individual who can establish and successfully drive results against goals
• Strong documentation skills required throughout project lifecycle
• Strong communication, presentation, leadership and influencing skills; experienced at interacting with various levels within the organization, including senior management
• A quick, decisive franchise thinker with the ability to partner with the appropriate individuals both internally and externally to support delivery of a successful projects and production processes
