Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Project Manager to lead and oversee our organization's application migration initiatives. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the successful migration of 10-15 applications written in .NET, Java, Spring Boot, Apache Camel, and Angular. Your primary focus will be on planning, executing, and delivering the migration projects within scope, budget, and timeline, while ensuring seamless coordination with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end project management for application migration initiatives, from project initiation to closure, ensuring successful delivery of all migration projects within established timelines and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including technical teams, business users, and executive management, to define project objectives, scope, and requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing applications written in .NET, Java, Spring Boot, Apache Camel, and Angular to identify migration challenges, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain detailed migration project plans, including tasks, timelines, resource allocation, and dependency while monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources throughout the migration projects.
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, system architects, an quality assurance teams, to ensure effective communication and seamless execution of migration activities.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with application migrations, proactively addressing issues to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.
- Conduct regular status updates, communicate project progress, and report on key metrics to stakeholders and execute management.
- Ensure compliance with project management methodologies, industry best practices, and organizational standards throughout the migration projects.
- Facilitate change management activities, including training and support to end-users, to ensure a smooth transition an adoption of the migrated applications.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting effective communication, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
- Holds regular technical team meetings with vendor teams to determine progress, regularly interfaces with MUFG project stakeholders.
- Identify and analyzes risks, timely escalates issues to MUFG stakeholders.
- Must be able to juggle multiple priorities and solve problems quickly.

Skills:
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in area of IT project management
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Project management certification (PMP equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably leading application migration projects.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall, and experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Solid technical background with a good understanding of applications developed in .NET, Java, Spring Boot, Apache Ca and Angular, including their frameworks, architecture, and dependencies.
- Knowledge of databases, SQL Server, Oracle, T-SQL, SSIS, Source Control systems, Windows and Linux Servers
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, a meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze complex problems, develop innovative solutions, and make data-driven decisions.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
- Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with migration tools and techniques, as well as relevant industry trends and emerging technologies, is a plus
