General Duties:
- The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the maintenance of all Production Equipment, Customer Owned Tooling, Company Tooling and Auxiliary Equipment.
- The Maintenance Manager shall perform the following duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and within the requirements of IATF 16949:2016.
Specific Duties: - Select and train the maintenance employees in a manner which results in a cost effective and safe workplace.
- Schedule the maintenance employee's duties to satisfy the needs of the company.
- Develop, maintain and execute proper equipment and tooling Preventative Maintenance (PM) items.
- Maintain a predictive maintenance system for all equipment and tooling.
- Ensure that equipment calibration/verification is timely and proper.
- Develop and maintain a safe and clean workplace in accordance with the 5S philosophies.
- Develop and maintain a proper inventory of spare components, equipment and tools consistent with our repair needs and PM/Predictive maintenance systems.
- Perform periodic check of the PM completion according to the PM
- Ensure maintenance KPI goals are achieved, implement corrective actions if necessary
- Review building maintenance issues and review with senior management for approvals and completions.
- Attend all regular and special production meetings.
- Manage the maintenance staff.
- Participate in corrective action/customer concern investigations, if necessary
- Participate in APQP / PPAP events as necessary
Knowledge Skills and Abilities: - Knowledge of IATF 16949:2016 and Client quality policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of general plant operations.
- Ability to resolve employee conflict.
- Skilled machinist with design skills.
- Ability to operate plant equipment
- Ability to lead guide and direct maintenance employees
- Knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatics systems.
- Knowledge of electronics/PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Automotive problem-solving techniques.
- PC literate in Excel, Word, and maintenance software (or equivalents).
Minimum Qualifications: - Two years experience in maintenance and employee supervision.
