About the role:

As a Human Resources Officer at Eastern & Oriental Express, a Belmond Train, you play a critical role in steering the organization towards its mission by providing comprehensive HR support to both employees and management. This multifaceted position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities that are integral to maintaining our reputation for luxury service and employee satisfaction.

Your expertise will shine through daily as you respond to HR inquiries with care and efficiency, ensuring employees feel heard and supported. Administrative excellence is your forte; you'll maintain precise personnel records, from onboarding new talent to commemorating employee milestones. Your communication skills will bridge departments, promoting seamless collaboration that upholds our business's smooth operation.

Recruitment is another area where your impact will be felt—developing job descriptions, engaging with candidates, organizing interviews, and overseeing a rigorous selection process. Every policy explanation or benefits clarification you provide helps build an informed and satisfied workforce.

Travel may occasionally be on the agenda for on-site HR assistance or event coordination. You'll also contribute to payroll preparation and liaise with government entities regarding work permits—ensuring compliance and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Knowledge of local employment laws, employee relations, and HR best practices.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional and polished appearance.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays and at different locations.
• Payroll and personnel administration experience.
