We have an exciting new position as a Market Insights Specialist in our Industrial Division MarketingTeam.

As a pivotal member of our close-knit crew, you will play a key role in gathering market insights and data to enable the Industrial Division achieve our growth goals. You will spend time on-site with our customers and end-users, building relationships and understanding their processes to discover key needs and pain points. You will become a key advisor to our customers, gaining their trust to gather critical insights to fuel our customer-led approach to innovation for our Buildex, Pryda and Ramset Brands.

This is a Hybrid role and will be based at our Chirnside Park site in Victoria.

The Impact You’ll Make;

  • Build strong relationships and a commercial understanding of external stakeholders to gain market insights
  • Engage directly with end-users to identify and understand their needs and pain points
  • Translate market and customer insights into value propositions, creating differentiated growth and product solutions
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholder groups across sales, marketing and operations, sharing insights & recommendations
  • Manage systems and processes for collecting and storing key market data, including market trends, mapping, segmentation and validation, competitor, customer & deep dive insights
  • Support validation of innovation concepts and prototypes with target segments
  • Participate in segmentation work and project opportunities that result from findings
  • Actively apply the ITW 80/20 Business Process in all aspects of planning and execution of insight generation and discovery

About you:

  • Tertiary qualified in Commerce, Marketing or a related discipline, preferred but not essential
  • Retail, construction or hardware industry experience is considered favourably
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust and relationships
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, communicate results and confidently make recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability in project planning and delivery
  • Ability to translating end-user needs into product solutions
  • Commercial and trade-focused approach to customer analytics
  • Experience owning data quality and reporting systems
  • Experience working with big data, analysing market research & sales data
