The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for aligning IT strategy with institutional goals, leveraging technology for innovation and efficiency in higher education, and developing broad relationships with the campus community. They oversee all aspects of IT planning, budgeting, and support, requiring a deep understanding of the institution's operations and technical expertise to lead and coordinate IT teams effectively. The CIO leads the entire IT team comprised of both remote and on-campus team members. Together, they develop and implement IT infrastructure and best practices to improve IT services and practices for an organization seeking to enhance IT and operational maturity, build a high-performing IT team, and align IT strategy with institutional goals.
