Margolis Edelstein is a premier insurance defense firm seeking an Associate Attorney with 0-to-5 years of experience to join its its Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys to grow and develop in their litigation careers and gain invaluable experience.
The Philadelphia office has numerous opportunities available for those attorney interested in practicing personal injury, employment law, construction law, commercial litigation and similar defense practices in a wide variety of venues, including the Philadelphia and its surrounding counties Courts of Common Pleas, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania
Associates will be trained on the basics of employment discrimination litigation, and will handle a wide and varied caseload including defense of EEOC Charges of Discrimination, litigation of cases venued within Pennsylvania and New Jersey State Courts, as well as the U.S. District Courts of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Middle District of Pennsylvania and District of New Jersey.
Associates will also prepare contracts and opinion letters for firm clients, and perform any necessary research. Unlike other, large firms, Associates have the opportunity to run their own cases at an early stage and handle all aspects litigation, including client meetings, taking and defending depositions, and presenting oral arguments in court.
Qualified candidates must have strong writing and analytical skills and be admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania or New Jersey. Preferred candidates will be barred in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Prior judicial clerkship experience also preferred.
