Come and build the future with us!</p><p><strong>Main Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Research and develop algorithms and methods for mobile color imaging <br>(mobile photography and video capture) </li><li>Explore new technologies and refine those towards practical solutions for mobile imaging use cases </li><li>Develop solutions for full processing chain starting from capture of scene spectra to images which matches human visual system adaptation, including required color transforms, adaptation modeling algorithms, etc.</li><li>Utilize spectral processing methods in research simulations and in developed solutions</li><li>Research, design and implement new color imaging algorithms for reaching the perceptual targets</li></ul><ul></ul><ul></ul><ul></ul><p><strong>Qualifications and Requirements</strong><strong>:</strong><br></p><ul><li>PhD degree in computer vision, machine learning, signal/image processing, or other relevant fields</li><li>If you are a PhD student but would graduate within 6-12 months, you would be considered for an internship position first</li><li>Excellent knowledge and experience in camera image processing and color imaging</li><li>A proven track record of success in industry or high impact publications in academia</li><li>Profound understanding of physics and mathematics behind the image capture process and camera image processing pipeline</li><li>Great knowledge on AI / machine learning based solution building</li><li>Skilled at implementing algorithms for research purposes with Python, Matlab, and other commonly used tools</li><li>Understanding of perceptual image quality, human visual system color processing, and chromatic adaptation mechanisms</li></ul><ul></ul><p><strong>Other Relevant Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Fluent in English, both written and spoken</li><li>Excellent collaboration and communication skills & able to make clear research reports and educate team members on related topics</li><li>Excellent ability to learn and address existing and emerging mobile imaging related challenges and solutions</li><li>Outstanding problem-solving skills</li></ul><ul></ul><p><strong>Type of Contract:</strong> This is a full-time consultant position at our R&D office in Tampere, Finland.
