Job Summary: The Red Hat Enterprise Data + Analytics (EDA) team is seeking a Senior ETL Developer contractor to join us in our Raleigh, North Carolina location. In this role, you will design, develop and test solutions for relevant business needs in an open and collaborative environment. You'll collaborate with Red Hat's internal business stakeholders to enable data driven decisions for managing the end-to end product lifecycle. The ideal candidate would be well-versed in data analysis, design and development concepts for a large data warehouse and should have experience supporting critical production applications.
Responsibilities:
¿ Add new data sources to our cloud-based data warehouse using ETL tools
¿ Design and develop SQL-based database views in our data warehouse to enable multi-sourced data analysis
¿ Perform adequate unit test for applications developed and validate expected results
¿ Ability to perform problem analysis, resolution and documentation
¿ Modify existing universes to provide defect fixes
¿ Troubleshoot reported defects to determine the root cause
¿ Peer-review code created by team members
¿ Ability to perform convey key stakeholder insights through data storytelling
¿ Develop no server solutions leveraging technologies such as AWS Glue
Requirements:
¿ 5+ years of demonstrated Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) development experience ¿ Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica Cloud (preferred) or other ETL tool(s)
¿ Track record of building innovative solutions
¿ Understanding of the processes of data quality, data cleansing, and data transformation ¿ Excellent SQL and PL/SQL coding skills
¿ Good hands-on experience with Python scripting
¿ Good knowledge of data warehousing tools, patterns, and processes
¿ Good coding skills according to published standards and design guidelines
¿ Ability to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents
¿ Knowledge of columnar databases like AWS Redshift
¿ Experience with Workday web services is a plus
