Qualifications:
Qualifications: Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is required. Preferred/Desirable: Experience: 5 + years experience in the development and/or support of software systems are required or 4 + years prior related progressive work experience in computer operations is required with proficiency in the usage of job scheduling tools. Experience with SQL and relational databases. Experience with multi-tiered client-server and web-based applications. Experience with EDI and data translation tools (preferably BizTalk). Experience with Microsoft development tools, such as VB, VB Script, .NET or ASP. Preferred/Desirable: Experience in the healthcare industry preferred. Experience with Microsoft SQL, Sybase, or Oracle preferred. Experience with Tidal Enterprise Job Scheduler preferred. Certification or Conditions of Employment: Pre-employment background check Competencies, Skills, and Attributes: Knowledge of HIPAA transactions. Knowledge of command language for MS Windows operating systems and related peripheral equipment. Knowledge of VB scripting and Secure FTP Protocols. Demonstrated ability to accurately interpret computer-issued error messages and take appropriate action. Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills. Responsibilities:
Job Summary: Provides mid-level development and support for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes and utilities, including testing, implementing and maintaining EDI transactions. Handles communications with trading partners for EDI transaction set-up and ongoing maintenance and support. Monitors and oversees scheduling of daily batch production jobs including job scheduling, maintaining accurate records of all production processing, problem resolution/escalation, and daily request processing. This position will facilitate secure transfer of information to and from outside vendors via FTPS, SFTP, or FTP and PGP encryption protocols. Key Functions/Responsibilities: Provides ongoing support of TriZetto HIPAA Gateway system, including troubleshooting, management of system configuration, enhancements, and upgrades. Researches and tracks TriZetto system issues, requests, and business critical issues via TriZetto's online issue tracking system and Customer Support representatives. Supports interfaces between business systems, including interfaces between systems internal to BMCHP and between BMHCP systems and external partners. Particular concentration will be on external Electronic Data Interface (EDI) processes. Acts as a technical contact for external trading partners on EDI-related issues, questions, and activities. Diagnoses problems with EDI processes, working with other technical and/or business resources as necessary for assistance. Troubleshoots application problems. May provide on-call application technical support for production systems. Oversees EDI & batch processes day-to-day to track levels of activity, compiling and tracking metrics for senior management and to identify areas for improvement and automation. Sets up and maintains the administration of production system batch processes and jobs, including setup, configuration, installation, and scheduling using Tidal Enterprise Job Scheduler. Monitors execution and failures of these jobs and resolves/notifies other employees as appropriate. Working with business representatives and more senior IT team members, participates in the definition of requirements for applications supporting the HealthNet Plan. Design, develop, test, and implement new software applications and EDI programs, maps, and processes. Provides on-going support for these applications. Participates in testing of application solutions, including functional testing, regression testing, and performance optimization. Assists with FTP account configuration.
