Job Title: Electrical Service TechnicianLocation: Perrysburg, OhioSummary:The Electrical Service Technician acts as an advocate for the company providing customer service in the office and on-site worldwide. General scope of duties includes machine installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of PLC and PC-controlled systems and supporting development, designing, and manufacturing of the equipment in a unique machine industry - including such machines in the photovoltaic industry like vacuum coating and automation. International travel is required. This is a full-time exempt position with limited supervision.
Skills:- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings/blueprints/diagrams.
- Familiarity with semiconductor equipment or other large complex electro-mechanical systems are a plus.
- Experience with high voltage electrical, hazardous materials, thermal systems, and computer and PLC based control systems helpful.
- Ability to setup, operate, troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software systems in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office programs on a beginner to intermediate level, especially Excel Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
- Ability to use AutoCAD programs on a beginner to intermediate level.
- One who possesses a continuous improvement mindset and challenges the norm is highly preferred.
- Must be able to work well under pressure and maintain a positive and cooperative attitude while interfacing with customers and colleagues.
- Establish and maintain a clean and safe work area following 5S practices while ensuring tools, equipment, and part inventory are well organized and stored properly.
- Must be a self-starter and works efficiently.
- Self-sufficiently performs a wide range of complex duties under minimal guidance from the department manager.
- Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function as directed by the department manager.
Physical Requirements:- Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to 8-12 hours per day.
- Will climb stairs on an occasional basis.
- Will lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis, according to work requirements.
- Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects.
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required.
- Must be able to fly both domestically and internationally.
