We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Northampton. The role is crucial to our client's continued growth, ensuring they meet and excel on customers’ demands. The company specialises in commercial and industrial solutions in all areas of fluid handling. They supply, install, repair and maintain pumps and pump systems to all major industries including facilities management, manufacturing and construction.
You will have overall responsibility for fulfilling the company goal of ultimate customer service in the delivery of our work and orders.
The Operations Supervisor is accountable for the workshop costs, warehouse costs and on site costs and measuring and reducing NCR’s related to operations and ensuring all projects are built and delivered within the agreed time scales
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensure all customers’ expectations regarding the delivery of their orders and the quality of pump repairs are exceeded.
- To ensure the quality of workmanship is exceptional and customers will receive goods or finished projects like this.
- To ensure works is scheduled in a timely and efficient manner, to achieve efficiencies and meet targets and KPIS set out
- To ensure the engineers recieve the training, equipment and knowledge to fulfil their duties
- To have overall responsibility of the Health and Safety of the Operations Team
- To ensure that where delays occur, there is clear communication and that these delays are kept to an absolute minimum.
- To take orders received from the sales department through to completion.
- To purchase parts required for all orders and general stock requirements
- To have a good grasp of IT
- To take full responsibility for the order, once received from the Sales Team, through to Completion
- Delivery notes to be issued on the date of dispatch of the goods, to enable the daily sales figure to be calculated
- Customer notification of delivery delays
- Managing, Returns, Back Orders and Supplier Deliveries
- To managing warranty claims including keeping a log of time and the problems. All warranty claims should be managed in a very professional manner and efficiently to ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Have an in-depth understanding and knowledge of pumps and pump systems and the systems they fit into
- Embrace the training, methodologies & resources provided to ensure a consistent service to the customers
- Competency in personal time management
- Ability to manage tasks
- Understanding of the importance of reporting & meeting report deadlines.
- Understand the importance of punctuality. It is critical that meetings commence & finish on time.
- Be at work in time and have the day prepared and be ready to set the day out to the Operations Team
- Have the ability to manage people and problems, and co-ordinate the entire team

- Manage the DIFOT programme and act on results to drive up efficiencies and customer satisfaction

- Hours- Monday- Friday 7.00am-16.00pm or 7.30am-16.30pm
