Description :
Assistant Food Preparation Looking to convert to FTE pending performance/attendance/etc
Shift Hours: Morning shift 5a-1pm, 5:30-1:30pm OT is available. (open ended)
Environment: refrigerated 34-38 degrees year-round. Kitchen is not temperature regulated (gets hot in the summer) Changing clothes over lunch is recommended in the hot months.
Looking for candidates to start the following Monday*** (6-8 people max) ***Some experience working with Food/Food Prep?restaurants, delis, supermarkets etc. (entry level position)***
- Responsible for managing or performing work associated with converting raw materials and components into finished goods including: General production manufacturing work
- Assembling finished components or parts into finished products
- Process manufacturing batches of bulk materials/ingredients including mechanical processing (e.g., mixing, grinding, separating, filtering, etc.) and chemical processing (altering the chemical properties of materials through chemical reactions and changing temperature, pressure, etc.)
- Setting up and operating machine tools to convert materials into parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies
- Surface finishing of parts, components, and assembled items including washing/painting/plating/anti-corrosion coating, hardening, polishing/engraving/etching, etc.
- Packaging materials or finished goods into containers for the purpose of protection, display, and handling
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with setting up tumbler equipment mix all marinate recipes according to recipes.
- Load tumblers and add marinate.
- Ensure all product containers are clearly labeled.
- Empty tumblers.
- Maintain a clean workstation.
- Clean equipment at the end of the day.
- Keep accurate paperwork.
- Complete pickup test and record information.
- Assist with other tasks as requested by lead.
- Verify SQF requirements are being met.
