<p>Kedrion Biopharma is recruiting a Communications Manager to join the Global Communications team to deliver and maintain the internal and external communications for the Elstree site. </p><p>Working collaboratively with the Global Communications team, Corporate Leadership Team and Elstree Site Leadership Team (and more), as well as developing the the internal and external comms, the Communications Manager will have oversight of the intranet, lead on editorial, organise and plan internal events and support the roll out of Kedrion's new brand.<br></p><p>This exciting position will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to help build a modern, positive, and strong image for the company as it grows, solidifying its presence as rank #5 leader of Plasma Derived Medicinal Products (PDMPs) for patients and customers worldwide.<br></p><p>The scope of the role excludes product marketing and communication, communication with customers and communication with the regulatory bodies in relation to license and/or products.<br></p><p><strong>Duties & Responsibilities will include -</strong><br></p><ul><li><strong>Internal & External Communication Strategy:</strong> Co-define and co-develop a strategic framework for Kedrion’s internal and external communications, establishing standards and best practices tailored for both the Elstree site and Kedrion’s global initiatives.</li></ul><ul><li><strong>Alignment with Global Communications:</strong> Partner closely with the Global Communications team and key leaders to identify and address the communication needs of various departments within the context of Kedrion’s corporate strategy. Ensure internal initiatives and updates reflect broader company goals and values.</li></ul><ul><li><strong>Intranet & Editorial Oversight:</strong> Lead the editorial management and content curation for the new Kedrion global intranet, adapting it for Elstree and former BPL sites to promote employee engagement and brand alignment. Work with external vendors to keep the platform current, engaging, and relevant.</li></ul><ul><li><strong>Internal Plant Communications & Events:</strong> Organize and manage communication efforts related to Elstree plant activities, including Town Halls, site visits, and key site events such as Patient Days. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure successful execution and consistent messaging aligned with Kedrion’s brand.</li></ul><ul><li><strong>Brand Integration:</strong> Support the rollout of Kedrion’s new brand across the Elstree site and former BPL locations, ensuring alignment with the global brand strategy and effective communication through site-specific materials and channels.</li></ul><ul><li><strong>External Corporate Communications:</strong> Manage external communications as needed, whether directly or through an agency. Maintain a responsive and consistent approach for interactions with external bodies, including press, industry organizations, and local groups.</li></ul><ul><li><strong>Social Media & Digital Presence:</strong> Implement in Elstree the global social media strategy that enhances Kedrion’s corporate image. Manage and grow UK social media channels, where needed, including Glassdoor, LinkedIn, and Google, and oversee the use of the internal engagement tool, Yammer, maintaining a regular editorial rhythm and calendar.</li></ul><ul><li><strong>Guidance & Compliance:</strong> Create guidelines for responding to external inquiries, including media requests, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, industry standards, and internal policies on communications and social media.</li></ul><ul><li><strong>Budget & Reporting:</strong> Oversee the communications budget for Elstree, tracking expenditures and providing regular updates on spending and resource allocation.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills & experience to help you within the role –</strong><br></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in related field and relevant/equivalent experience. </li><li>Three years + previous experience in a similar role leading internal and external communications</li><li>Willingness to operate at all levels, from strategy to hands on delivery; line manage direct report (Comms Specialist)</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Self starter and able to work independently</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills, able to engage with people at all levels of the organisation. </li><li>Proven ability to engage and work with internal and external stakeholders</li><li>Previous experience of setting up a communication strategy and delivering a communications plan</li><li>Previous experience of managing corporate social media </li><li>Change management and “can do” attitude and approach, focused on stakeholder engagement.
