Job Description:

Pay Range 20hr - 25hr

Responsibilities:
  • In addition to general support within the CM ORs and Training labs.
  • Vet Tech Duties:
  • Understands requirements to remain "inspection ready" and participates in audits for compliance.
  • Assists in planning daily activities (breaks, lunches, setup for next day.
  • Able to identify/reprocess more advanced instrumentation.
  • Assist in training entry level team members.
  • Participate in regulatory audits.
All:
  • Radiation safety.
  • Assist in revision of DOPs, WIs, JHAs as assigned.
  • Performs supplemental tasks required for laboratory logistics and operations with appropriate oversight.
  • Regulatory-understands inspection readiness and makes sure area of work is always inspection ready.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the company's overall strategy and goals.
Skills:
  • HS diploma minimum, AS preferred (vet tech programs, biology, animal science preferred).
  • Contractor conversion, generally with minimum 18 months experience (at Company) OR prior experience in animal setting (lab animal or clinic) including giving IM injections, placing catheters and anesthesia experience.
  • Within one year of hire/promotion, obtain ALAT certification.
  • In addition, individuals may hold a minimum of one internationally recognized certification related to laboratory animal medicine or veterinary technical skills (e.g. RVT, ALAT, LAT, LATG, ASR, KLAT1/KLATII, SLAT, JLAST, etc).
  • DVM exempt.
  • Good communication (written, verbal), documentation skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work well with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Understands and practices expected Company behavior, demonstrates company values, shows ownership and accountability.
  • Promote Culture of Safety: Demonstrates commitment to personal responsibility and value for safety; communicates safety concerns; uses and promotes safe behaviors based on training and lessons learned.
  • Promote animal welfare demonstrates commitment to personal responsibility and value for animal welfare; communicates concerns.
  • Good knowledge of common applications (Microsoft Office, etc.).
  • Must wear personal protective equipment as defined/required by job assignments.
  • Due to the nature of the job the candidate should be able to lift 50 pounds with assistance.
  • May be exposed to radiation or electromagnetic fields, lasers, noise.
  • 80dB TWA, allergens/biohazards/chemicals (cautery smoke).
  • Subject to and expected to comply with all applicable Company policies and procedures.
