Role objective
Monitor the installation and quality of electrical scope for offshore wind foundations at supplier’s assembly site.
Responsibilities
Working schedule
- Represent Client during the design, fabrication, and commissioning of the electrical systems on the offshore foundations components, including but not limited to LV systems, MV/HV systems, Earthing system, Array Cables, Measurements and SCADA/Radio systems. Guide and inspect all onshore sub-contractors, to ensure successful fabrication and assembly of the offshore foundation’s components on time and within the required Quality standards and HSE regulations.
- Ensures that free-issued equipment and components are stored, handled, and maintained in accordance with the project and vendor requirements.
- Manage commissioning/testing of the offshore foundation’s components.
- Advice and support to the Foundation Fabrication Manager and Commissioning Manager.
- Ensure that contractors/sub-contractors work, are in line with agreed design and to required spec/quality.
- Keep and maintain a safe work environment within the team and the contractors/sub-contractors on site according to HSE guidelines and local procedures.
- Support of all relevant interfaces between Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Contractors QA/QC Representatives, Designated Authorities.
- The Electrical Supervisor will report to the Electrical Engineer, WTG- and Foundation Fabrication Manager and Offshore Commissioning Manager.
- Stay informed of the HSE system and the procedures relevant to the function as well as to work in accordance with the requirements defined therein.
- Obliged to react on observed nonconformities to the written procedures and to contribute to the improvement of the system.
- Stay informed of the QA system and the procedures relevant to the function as well as to work according to requirements defined therein
Tasks
- Become familiar with the electrical design and documentation package
- Review of electrical documentation from WTG and FOU Contractor.
- Become familiar with the free issued items to be installed and how they interface with the WTG. IE Davit crane, Switchgear, Electrical panels, Antennas, Navaids etc.:
- Plan a suitable Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) for SIP electrical fabrication and installation
- Align on interfaces with internal stakeholder, e.g. array cables, SCADA
- Create project specific check list for onshore and offshore testing
- Perform incoming inspections of all free issued item deliveries at fabrication yard
- Test on completion, review of Electrical Test Certification, closing of punch lists (Onshore scope)
- Ensure all associated and relevant documentation is received, reviewed and uploaded to the dedicated project document control system. E.g. delivery notes, incoming inspection reports, observation/Client reports, photos, DIT reports, WTG contractor documentation.
- Provide weekly reports documenting progress, status, deliveries, open points and any other project related info.
- Review of Electrical Test Certification, closing of punch lists

- 8 hours/day
- 5 days per week
- Work on weekend is not planned, but might become relevant as an exception
- Onboarding and training might take place on one of our sites
- Travel to various suppliers for inspection must be expected

Qualifications
Soft skills
- Technical education relevant for the subject matter or bachelor’s in electrical engineering
- All relevant safety trainings needed to perform the job
- Min. 10 years of site experience on fabrication yards, pre-assembly or construction sites
- Min. 5 year of experience from similar position

- Consultant should preferably live close to the manufacturing sites

- Reference check must be carried out by supplier
- Zero Tolerance for drug abuse and abusive behavior

- The works requires to work indoor and outdoor during all kind of weather year around and involves a lot of walking and climbing (including use of harness)
- Because of HSE reasons, access- and work restrictions could be applied, this would limit the chargeable workdays
- Other requirements
- Bring own PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) needed to and relevant tools perform the work
- Safety shoes, safety helmet, normal working clothes, safety glasses, hi viz safety vest
