Position Overview:
Are you passionate about working with people and committed to creating an inclusive workplace? 🥰 As an HR Business Partner, you will be a key player for employees and management for our Canadian employees. Most employees are based in Quebec. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, records management and employment law compliance.
Location: This role is a hybrid role, and the candidate will be required to come into our Quebec office at minimum 3 days per week.
Reports to: Director, Human Resources
Travel ✈️ Requirement: less than 10%
What you’ll be Working on:
- Serve as a trusted advisor on matters related to HR policies, employee benefits, compensation, performance management, career development, and conflict resolution
- Works closely with the Global People Team to align regional and company-wide initiatives
- Maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual
- Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
- Update and maintain employee and administrative files
- Ensure the circulation of information within the company and local office (weekly meetings, internal communication, etc.)
- Conducts new employee orientation and coordinates with payroll and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless onboarding process
- Drafting corrective action documentation and escalating more complex issues to the Director, Human Resources as needed
- Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations for continuous improvement
- Consults with Counsel on immigration issues and coordinates sponsorship requirements for Canada
- Maintains compliance with country specific regulations concerning labor practices
- Coordinates and plans social activities in the office using the designated department budget
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned
What you Bring to the Role:
- 5 to 7 years of progressive HR experience
- Must be bilingual in French and English
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations in Quebec and other Canadian provinces.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into HR strategies.
- Experience in compensation and benefits management
- Knowledge of HRIS Systems including but not limited to: ADP Workforce, PayScale/Pay Factors, Perform Yard, SharePoint, Confluence
⭐️ Bonus points if you have:
- CRIA or CRHA
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations or Business Administration, specialization in human resources preferred.
