Stoneridge Software is looking for a highly motivated, honest, and passionate Dynamics 365 Business Central Senior Developer. The Dynamics 365 Business Central Senior Developer will be responsible for providing guidance on Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Dynamics 365 Business Central infrastructure (cloud and on-prem), database, environment management, and system administration to support the business processes, applications, and integrations for our clients.
A Day in the Life
- Modifying or creating pages, reports, tables or custom logic in C/AL, AL, and Extensions according to requirements
- Understand Dynamics platform data and data models
- Work with functional consultants to understand business process and client requirements
- Relay status updates as needed to Client Success Manager and other team members
- Write blogs on architecture and development topics to contribute to the Stoneridge blog
- Mentor other team members
- Provide code reviews with enough insight to mentor other team members
- Work with Client Success Manager and client to identify priority and severity of issues
- Teach development topics to different audiences
- Build moderately complex integrations with both Dynamics and third-party systems
- Provide detailed estimates
- Apply a deep understanding in the areas of application programming, database, and system design
- Build modifications for clients according to the designs outlining the features and within the time allotted by the estimates provided
- Document features developed
- Assist Functional Consultants with technical questions related to gathering, defining, and documenting requirements
- Investigate existing environments for functionality troubleshooting or scoping purposes
- Support Functional Consultants in translating business requirements into technical documentation
- Troubleshoot errors and performance-related issues
- Debug error messages
- Troubleshoot unexpected results based on customizations
- Review and troubleshoot code of previous Developers
- Meet with previous implementation Developers to transition knowledge
- Foster and champion psychological safety and a positive team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of previous development experience
- 4+ years of experience in Microsoft D365 Business Central implementations
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science or related field or related experience
- Certifications in Dynamics platform
- Advanced understanding of the Dynamics platform data structures
- Intermediate understanding of Dynamics platform functionality
- Advanced understanding of version control tools
- Familiarity with Power Platform or ERP Platform
- Experience with Visual Studio
- Experience with reporting tools
- Experience working with common third-party add-on solutions and their integration with Dynamics platform
- Experience with Microsoft stack technologies
- Ability to communicate effectively in both spoken and written English

Work Location: This position is available on a REMOTE basis in the United States or REMOTE in Canada (Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan).
Travel Required: Incumbent is expected to regularly meet with client teams across the United States and Canada will be asked to attend industry events from time to time.

Compensation
- Our philosophy is to provide compensation that is Competitive, Equitable, and Driven by Performance. Various factors impact our pay ranges including market conditions and national salary data. To determine competitive salaries within this range we consider candidates skills, qualifications, and experience. These are national ranges, inclusive of bonus opportunities and could represent multiple role levels.
US (USD): $100,000 - $145,000
Canada (CAD): C$110,000 - C$160,000
