Standards & Regulation Consultant

• Liaison with different regulators and certification agencies to ensure product / process certification and Compliance (for example CE and UL certification, etc.) and new legislation related to Genset regulation and standards.
• Engage with corporate compliance team for issues on compliance matters.
• Actively involve during the certification process (e.g. CE, Noise, etc).
• Ensure the Production & Engineering teams are aware of the timetable and work with respective agencies for ensuring these certifications are in place.
• Technical Construction file (TCF) are maintained for all products. Ensure TCFs are updated to reflect any change in Product
• Coordinate with cross functional team and corporate teams (like RoHS audits etc.)
• Conducts product Safety audits during NPIs (Safety FMEA).
• Review internal standards and process documents and update them as required.
• Act as a trainer for engineers on Compliance and Regulation. (e.g. Adding the right specs on drawing for RoHS)
• Participate in Annual Budgeting process and ensure compliance requirements are within budget.
• Ensure that 100 % of REPS products meet the compliance for the target country.
  

• Understanding of International standards like ISO8528, UL2200, UL489, CE, RoHS and other applicable standards
• Conducting Product and Process Audit.
• Sense of urgency to ensure meeting certification deadlines.
• Need to understand and apply the principles of "Code of Worldwide Business Conduct and Operating Principles.
• Ability to travel to Global manufacturing plants as needed.
  

• Experience working on Compliance and Regulation for Gensets, engines or machines.
