We are recruiting a Senior Professional Geologist for full-time employment in either a Covina or Carlsbad southern California office. This company is a water resources engineering firm with approximately 40 professional engineers, hydrologists, and geologists in offices located in southwestern United States.
The position requires a B. S. Degree, 10+ years of practical experience, and a California-issued Professional Geologist license.
The position provides a unique opportunity for the ideal candidate to apply their leadership skills to an existing team of professional engineers and scientists. Typical projects may include planning and implementing geologic site investigations related to groundwater resources and production well development. Additional projects include groundwater production planning, Indirect Potable Reuse, recycled water projects, groundwater recharge projects, basin management, water quality analysis, monitoring, and reporting.
Creative thinking, a positive approach to solving difficult problems, and strong organizational skills are critical requirements for all projects. The successful candidate must also possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
In addition to Groundwater and Geologic skills, the candidate's responsibilities will include a working knowledge of planning and implementing SGMA-related studies, SNMPs, watershed assessments, and other watershed-based studies. Additionally, a working understanding of numerical groundwater techniques, conceptual model development, river and pipe hydraulic modeling, and surface water analysis is required.
