Ramp Agent at Bristol Airport

Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are in partnership with a well-known Ground Handling Company located at Bristol International Airport and are looking to add to its growing team of Ramp Agents serving one of the UK's fastest growing airports.

Start Dates:

• 23rd September 2024

What's on offer:

• Rate of pay: £13.81 per hour
• Overtime Premiums available.

• Shifts: 40 hours per week
• Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off
• Weekly pay
• Temp to Perm (performance based)

Key duties:

• Candidates will be processing customers luggage, ensuring they are loaded into the aircraft for departure and unloaded and transported to the airport on arrival.
• You will be working both airside and within the Undercroft (baggage unit).
• This is a manual role; candidates will need to be physically fit and able to repetitively lift and move luggage up to 30KG in weight - It is important to know that there will be down time during your shift between arrivals or departures.
• This role involves operating various types of vehicles to moving baggage between the terminal and aircraft.
• Full training will be given.
• Please note that the role takes place both indoor and outdoor and will experience all weather conditions.
• Full PPE will be provided.

Hours:

The Airport is operational 7 days per week and candidates will be working on a 4 on 4 off rolling rota.

An example of the shift hours:

• Day 1: 05:00 to 17:00 / 06:00 to 18:00
• Day 2: 05:00 to 17:00 / 06:00 to 18:00
• Day 3: 13:00 to 01:00 / 14:00 to 02:00 / 15:00 to 03:00
• Day 4: 13:00 to 01:00 / 14:00 to 02:00 / 15:00 to 03:00

There will be lots of overtime available if wanted.

Requirements

• Full UK Driving License Required.

• Passport or Birth Certificate
• UK Settled Status (If applicable)
• Proof of National Insurance
• Proof of (current) Address
• 5 Year Address History
• 5 Year Work Reference History

Successful candidates will be required to complete a basic criminal record check following interview in line with CAA requirements.

PLEASE NOTE: As this position is in the aviation industry, successful applicants must be able to provide 5-year checkable history.
