sUAS Flight Operator

Location: Hollister, CA
Duration: 6 months

Description:
About the Role:
Wing is looking for a sUAS Flight Operator to join our Flight Test team.
The ideal candidate will help us operate and maintain small unmanned autonomous aircraft systems.
You will be working with a multidisciplinary team of technicians and field operators to facilitate operation of the system.

What you’ll do:
Operate Wing’s delivery system in all roles such as ground support, visual observer, and pilot-in-command among others.
Communicate with other crew-members to safely and effectively operate the system

What You'll Need:
Current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate
Excellent written and verbal communication
Current driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to work independently and in teams while still maintaining rigorous attention to detail
Comfort with a fast-paced environment and an appetite for innovation
Ability to physically lift 35 lbs and perform continuous tasks in austere outdoor environments

Mandatory Skills/Qualifications
FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to work independently and in teams while still maintaining rigorous attention to detail

Bonus:
Knowledge of existing aviation-related regulations concerning aviation & UAS operations
Experience working with sUAS through web-based monitoring and control interfaces
BA/BS degree in engineering, technical field or equivalent practical experience
