The Role

As a Senior AI Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:

• Developing AI Solutions: As a senior AI engineer, you’ll lead the development of AI models and algorithms that power our reporting and insights platform. You'll work closely with data scientists and product teams to integrate these solutions seamlessly.
• Building Product & Infrastructure: As an early engineer, you’ll shape architectural decisions that allow Maestro AI to scale to meet our growing customer base's needs. You'll work closely with the design and PM teams to plan and implement our core product.
• Enhancing Product Features: You'll improve and expand our AI-driven features, ensuring they provide accurate, actionable insights. Your work will directly impact how engineering leaders manage their teams.
• Developing Our Technical Foundation: Your work today will lay the groundwork for future improvements, requiring a flexible foundation to adapt to various product needs.
• Customer Engagement: You’ll help triage critical customer issues and provide technical guidance, ensuring our users have the best experience with our AI capabilities.
• Team Growth: As an early team member, you’ll be instrumental in recruiting, hiring, and developing new talent to help us grow.

Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of AI engineering experience, with a strong track record of building robust, scalable AI systems.
• Expertise in AI and NLP: Extensive experience in natural language processing, machine learning, and integrating with APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google Gemini.
• Backend Experience using Python or Node.js.
• Familiarity with AWS (ECS, EC2, SQS, Lambda, S3).
• Customer-focused mindset: You take pride in building products that people love and solving customer problems.
• Ownership Mentality: You understand customer problems and have the autonomy to find the best solutions.
• Collaborative Approach: You love to work cross-functionally to achieve great customer outcomes and contribute to our culture.

Compensation

The base salary for this full-time position ranges from $140,000 to $180,000, plus generous early employee equity and benefits. Your exact pay will depend on various factors including your skills, experience, and education. This range reflects the base salary only; equity and benefits are additional.
