Join our Search & Performance department and lead our engineering teams on the path to operational and technical excellence as a Lead Fullstack Software Engineer (m/f/d). You will be responsible for a part of our service landscape maintained by several teams. This includes concept and architecture review, lifecycle, tech improvement and tech debt management, monitoring, disaster recovery and incident management. As a technical leader, you will be coaching and multiplying the engineers on code quality, testability and maintainability. Getting hands dirty is part of the job - write code and review PRs wherever you see the need. You will be partnering with engineering managers and product managers to find creative solutions for challenging problems of our customers and smartly integrate internal and external systems. 

What you will do:

• Work on companywide product initiatives and drive the success of the whole tech organization 
• Optimize and improve the AS24 technology stack by targeting individual, team, and cross-team efficiency, applying future proven concepts, architectural principles, and frameworks 
• Design, drive and hands-on support the implementation of entire systems over multiple teams and longer periods. 
• Support Engineers to recognize improvement potential and give regular, honest, and open feedback to them to help them grow and continuously improve. 

 

What you should bring:

• You have a breadth of knowledge across a range of languages/technologies in different paradigms (e.g., Object-Oriented / Functional) and the ability to rapidly grasp the key concepts in ones which you are unfamiliar with 
• You have software engineering experience for at least 12+ years with experience in JVM-languages, Elasticsearch, Kafka, AWS (Amazon Web Services) considered a big plus 
• You have experience in designing large-scale applications for at least 5+ years  
• You have a proven track record of driving organizational impact for at least 2+ years 
• You can communicate complex issues to diverse audiences inside and outside the company 
• You can suggest and take actions to improve engineering effectiveness and efficiency
