About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to manage and enhance both the backend and frontend of our WordPress website. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and PHP, with a focus on optimizing site performance. This is a full-time, contract position that can be performed remotely, but candidates must reside in Iowa or on the border of Iowa’s surrounding states. Competitive compensation is available, commensurate with senior-level experience.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, manage, and optimize the frontend and backend of the company’s WordPress website.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and PHP.
• Optimize website performance, ensuring fast load times and seamless user experience.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the website’s functionality.
• Collaborate closely with the business owner and team to implement new features, updates, and improvements.
• Ensure website security and data protection through best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress developments, plugins, and technologies to keep the site current and competitive.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a strong portfolio of WordPress projects.
• Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and PHP, with experience in optimizing websites for speed and performance.
• Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, including themes, plugins, and customizations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
• Must reside in Iowa or on the border of Iowa’s surrounding states.
• Availability to work full-time as a contractor, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work.
