Project Manager - DE

As a Project Manager, you will be enabling a team to build a highly scalable and extensible big data platform that provides the foundation for collecting, storing, modeling, and analyzing massive data sets from multiple channels for Fortune 2000 customers.

Responsibilities:

  Own end-2-end project execution
o Ensure timely delivery of projects with expected quality and stakeholder requirements.
o Ensure projects are delivered within scope and budget.
o Coordinate with Team Leads / SMEs to track dependencies and timely resolution.
o Build & ensure adoption of processes to measure & track execution progress using appropriate systems / tools. 
o Ensure visibility of execution progress by timely reporting and cadences with stakeholders - both internal & external
o Ensure resource availability and allocations.

 Build a delivery plan along with tech leads, domain experts. 
o Play the role of scrum master and help TLs in sprint planning & backlog grooming.
o Help Tech Leads in epic, story designing & planning - scope, prioritize & allocate technical tasks to team members.
o Own release management - create a delivery roadmap and ensure intermediate milestones are achieved and handed over to appropriate stakeholders.
o Mitigate delivery risks by timely identification, communication & mitigation action plan.

 Measure, track and improve execution efficiency.
o Define key parameters / KPIs to measure execution efficiency.
o Conduct retrospective sessions with appropriate stakeholders to identify gaps/improvements in project execution.
o Ensure systematic adoption of execution/delivery improvements. 
o Introduce & ensure adoption of appropriate systems, tools & techniques for continuous efficiency measurement.
o Assess quality of deliverables by seeking timely & regular feedbacks from end-users/stakeholders
o Design and/or improve the stakeholder/end-user feedback & CSR forms.

 Stay up-to-date on the latest technology to ensure the greatest ROI for customer & Sigmoid
o Experience in defining technical requirements for data extraction, data transformation, automating jobs, productionizing jobs.

Qualifications:- 
 10+ years of relevant work experience and a Computer Science or related technical
discipline is required.
 Very good understanding of the overall SDLC process.
 Experience in executing projects as scrum master with delivery team comprising of
highly competent developers in fast paced work environment.
 Experience in delivery of Enterprise scale applications.
 Bigdata & analytics experience (nice to have)
 Experience in leading quality assurance of software/IT projects (nice to have)

Preferred Qualification: 
 Experience in agile methodology
 Experience with managing multiple projects.
 Experience in change management & scope re-alignments
 Experience in managing post release support & operations.
 Hands-on experience in project management tools like - JIRA, You Track, Asana, Confluence, Wiki etc.
 Development, QA and/or support experience in Big Data domain
 Experience with Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, MapReduce, Oozie, Hive, Impala, Spark,Kerberos, KAFKA, etc.)
